Su-27 (in NATO circles known as Flanker)
is a fighter designed in Sukoi Design Birou.
Export versions of this aircraft is Su-27SK.
Airplane is equipped to operate autonomously in actions above
enemy territory, followed by some penetration fighter (like Mig-21).
The
plane is also good for air defense operations
in association with air defense units. Su-27 is used in
Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam, and
is manufactured in China under license like F-11.
A version of Su-27 Su-30MK is sold to India with
a license for local manufacturing that begins in year 2000.
The airframe is made of titanium and solid aluminum materials.
Aircraft is equipped with 30mm GSh-301 cannon
with 150 barrels of ammo and varius bombs, rockets, and projectiles.
Su-27 gets it power from two AL-31F turbofan engines
designed by Lyulka Designer Biro.
